Optimum Brake Balance

Optimum brake balance is achieved by combining Brembo's thorough knowledge of OEM braking systems and use of an unlimited range of caliper, piston, and disc combinations.  These combinations directly influence the brake torque between the front and rear axles.

If a vehicle has equal amounts of front and rear brake torque, the balance will result in rear tire lockup.  This can result in the vehicle being unsafe to drive.  There are many ways to influence brake balance when upgrading the brake system on a vehicle.  These include, but are not limited to: Changing the brake caliper piston sizing, adjusting brake proportioning valves, and in the case of racecars with dual master cylinders, adjusting the balance with different master cylinder sizing and balance bar settings.

Brembo engineers design each brake upgrade specifically for your vehicle and driving conditions.  Brembo brake upgrades are easy to install and designed to work seamlessly with your vehicle’s stock master cylinder, ABS, and traction control system.
