Carbon Ceramic Brake (CCM)

Brembo equips Ecojet

Brembo Carbon Ceramic Brakes have been chosen to fit the Ecojet, the latest project created by the famous American journalist Jay Leno's Big Dog Garage team and GM Advanced Design.
The primary goal in designing the Ecojet was to build a car that ran on environmentally friendly, renewable bio-diesel fuel but still had the performance of a sports car.
The braking system provided by Brembo was first used in North American production on the Corvette ZR1 and is similar to the systems used on the Ferrari Enzo and all the latest Ferrari models.
The EcoJet project combines automotive and jet technologies to create a biodiesel-running jet turbine vehicle. With all the power that this jet turbine engine creates, it also needs serious stopping power. This is why the Brembo engineers have been asked to provide a carbon ceramic braking system.
These state-of-the-art technology brakes will not only add the stopping power that is needed for the vehicle but will provide weight saving, contribute to produce fewer emissions and provide improved vehicle efficiency and dynamics.
The Ecojet Carbon Ceramic brake system include :
Front and Rear
6-piston monobloc aluminum caliper
Cross-drilled carbon ceramic discs (15.5")
