Race Technologies is a proud sponsor of The Rescue Train and "Race For The Rescues".
With the help from their sponsors and volunteers, they have found homes for over 2500 cats and dogs and saved them from being euthanized.
In 2000, two volunteers in a low income animal hospital in East Los Angeles saw the staggering number of dogs and cats abandoned by owners, dumped on the street and at the pounds, and they could not turn their backs. Instead, they started Poochville Animal Rescue. Our goal was to save adoptable animals from being euthanized in our city's shelters, to find these once-forgotten animals homes where they could become cherished family members.
Over the years, we grew into a force, with countless volunteers and hundreds of successful adoptions. However the sad truth is that there was no way for our organization and the others like us throughout L.A. to take care of all the homeless pets. It is too big of a problem and we can¹t keep up. Every day in our city beautiful adoptable dogs and cats go through the horror of being dragged to their death unnoticed, unloved and alone. So our new mission aside from hands on rescue work, is to incorporate animal education and awareness to our city and across the nation. For that we needed a vehicle to gain momentum to help spread the word. That vehicle is the Rescue Train.
