"I have always had an incredible passion for cars and anything car related. Three years ago, I noticed that a couple of people dining at a restaurant had Race Technologies and Brembo brochures laid out on the table. Being a Brembo fan, I went over and introduced myself and one of the people turned out to be the owner of Race Technologies(He was interviewing one of our other employees). Three weeks later, i went to visit their facility and shortly after began working at RT.

I've been with Race Technologies now for more than three years and it's my dream job. I'm involved with sales and technical support and enjoy helping our customers every day. I love being at the track or anything else automotive related."

Goals: break the 2:45 minute mark at Button Willow (yes, yes, I know that’s slow)

Position:
Account Manager
Years In Industry: 33

My best friend’s dad used to take us out in the Arizona desert to ride motorcycles and drive their 1950 flathead Ford long before we were old enough to have a driver’s license. He also taught us how to do basic maintenance as well as repairs. By the time I was sixteen, I was doing head gaskets and cylinder head work to camshaft, clutch, u-joint replacements, and of course, trying to make my car faster than my buddies. When I was 17, I won a trophy in C/Gas with my Chrysler powered 1937 Pontiac. My stepfather was thoroughly amazed as he thought the car wouldn’t even make it to the dragstrip. I was hooked on motorsports very early and love every type of racing. My friends and I would sometimes be the first at a track before sunrise to watch dragsters, midget/sprint cars, motorcycle, Indy, stock or sports car races.

I really didn’t get into the automotive industry until I was 25 when a buddy had me come to work for his brother’s auto parts store. They told me I had two weeks to learn how to run it as they were going on vacation. It was a challenge but everyone made it fun and I’ve been in automotive since. I’ve experienced being a driver, counterman, outside sales rep, mechanic, and manager for every type of auto business, from mom & pop auto parts stores to warehouses, auto repair shops to service stations. I believe that one should enjoy their work since you spend most of your waking hours at it. I’ve been living it for over 33 years now.

Jerry Buza
Position:
Account Representative
Present Cars: 1997 Audi A4 (track dog) and Porsche GT3

My time as a car enthusiast began after I bought the Audi A4 in ‘97. After a couple of weekends at the track with the Audi club I was hooked. It was the closest thing to racing since I had raced motocross back in the day. Still have that car, but it’s been modded heavily to run in NASA’s time trial series. I’m also still active with the Audi Club as the Chief Driving Instructor for Socal. I recently purchased my dream car – the Porsche GT3. It’s been on a few tracks already, Laguna Seca and Cal Speedway.
I was on the Audi Club board organizing track days when I met Gary and Danni at RT in April of 2006 to pick up some gift certificates for the club. We started talking and I’ve been with RT ever since.

Goals: Not to cover MY red car with a lot of infield dust at the track.

Gary Cogis
Position: Business Development
First Car: Porsche 917 - Pink (Hot Wheels)
First "real" Car: 1955 VW "oval window" Beetle
Present Car: 2008 Audi A3
Future Car: Something Porsche

You can learn a lot about a person by the type of car they drive, and even though my 2008 Audi A3 (2.0T / DSG) doesn't serve as the best prelude to a captivating or inspiring bio, the APR software, H&R Premium coil overs, BBS CK wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's, and Brembo Gran Turismo brakes do make for one defining statement,...I am an enthusiast just like the rest of you.
Whether I'm waking up in the middle of the night to watch Formula 1 qualifying, spending my Sunday morning installing a front mount intercooler on a friends EVO X, or driving through Palmdale at 6:00am on my way to Willow Springs Raceway for a few quick sessions around The Streets, it's all a way of quenching the same thirst.

- One day I hope to have the chance to drive a McLaren F1 LM.
- If I could only own one car right now it would be a 2009 M3 Sedan.
- If I didn't need the back seats that would quickly become a 2009 Porsche GT2.
- I want Ferrari to win the 2008 Manufacturers Championship and Hamilton to get his first Drivers Championship with McLaren.
- If I had the car collection of my dreams the center piece would be a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa.
- If I was offered a seat to drive in any race series in the world I'd choose WRC.
- I'd love to restore a 1965 21-Window Microbus, just before starting on a 1956 Porsche 356 roadster.
- If I were to buy a track day car tomorrow it would be a Radical SR8.
- When I'm not thinking about cars I'm day dreaming about surf trips to exotic locations.
But even that thought leads me to the idea of using a Land Rover Defender 90 to travel down the muddy dirt roads or across the black sand beaches.
- One thing that many people do not know about me is that I make an incredible lobster risotto.
- I only take my self as serious as I have to.

I've been with Race Technologies now for over 6 years, and I plan on being here for at least that many more. Representing the Brembo brand and working closely with some of the top names in our industry allows me to avoid feeling like this is just another job.
From witnessing the technology that Brembo brings to the table, to exposing companies to the products that they offer, watching and helping other enthusiast grow within a business that they enjoy, I couldn't think of anything else I'd rather do day in and day out.

First Car: 1966 Karmann Ghia – then modded of course…
First “real” Car: 1974 Porsche 914 2.0
Current Car: 2007 VW MKV GTI 2.0T DSG, 2007 Suburban 4WD
Some Fave Cars: 1956 Porsche 550RS Spyder, 1964 Porsche 904 GTS, 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California, Audi Coupe GT Quattro, anything Aston Martin
Some Current Faves: 997 C2 PDK, C6 Z06, CTS-V (yes, I admit it), Audi RS6 Avant (we all need a 580hp wagon!)

My venture into motorsports started early, my mother autocrossed her 911 2 months before I was born.  Love ya mom!  Dad would take me to Laguna Seca in the late 70’s for SCCA racing.  While I had that first 914 I even met my wife of 15 years (and our RT Accountant) driving through the hills of Santa Barbara, her in a 16V Scirocco.

I have been working in motorsports one way or another since 1996.  Though a car guy my whole life, I started in the motorcycle industry and at one point traveled national road racing and motocross circuits working directly with factory teams and club raced myself.  I have been with Race Technologies for more than 5 years and thoroughly enjoy the business especially our customers and our team here, what a great group.  Cars, motorcycles and racing both new and vintage are an absolute passion and I am lucky to be involved.
